Project Summary

The Montgomery County Engineer is proposing to construct a project called the Huffman Road Bridge Replacement Project, Job# 2020-16, in the Jefferson Township. The bridge project site is located approximately a half mile east of the intersection of Huffman and South Diamond Mill Roads and carries Huffman Road over Bear Creek. This project includes the removal of the existing bridge and installation of a new three-span bridge. Roadway guardrail will be improved to current safety standards. Road work related to the replacement of the structure will also be performed.

The Huffman Road Bridge Project will be closed during construction. A detour will be established along South Diamond Mill Road, Dayton-Farmersville Road, and Lutheran Church Road. The project will be delivered via the Design-Build procurement method. A contractor and engineer team will be selected in late-2022 or early-2023. Construction is anticipated to last approximately 6 months. Completion of the project is anticipated in May 2024.
