Project Summary
The Montgomery County Engineer is proposing to construct a project called the Weaver Road Bridge Reconstruction Project, JEF-73-1.40, Job # 2021-13, in Jefferson Township located near, Germantown OH. The existing structure has a general appraisal rating of 5 (fair), primarily due to deck and superstructure conditions. These structure conditions are caused by several areas of cracking in the asphalt deck surface, and several areas of rust, corrosion, and section loss in the steel members.
This proposed project will involve the removal of the existing steel bridge beams/asphalt surface, and installation of new prestressed concrete bridge beams/concrete surface. New guardrail will also be installed along with associated roadway improvements. The project will begin construction in the summer of 2026. Weaver Road, near the project, will be closed to all but local traffic during the bulk of the construction, which will last for approximately 2 months.
