Project Summary

The Montgomery County Engineer is proposing to construct a project on North Gettysburg Avenue, Job# 2020-24, in the City of Dayton. This bridge rehabilitation project is located approximately 400 feet north of the intersection of North Gettysburg Avenue and Little Richmond Road and carries North Gettysburg Avenue over Wolf Creek. Work on the parallel, twin structures includes the abutment repairs by conversion to semi-integral abutments, curb repairs, sidewalk repairs, and bridge rail improvements. Minor road work related to the replacement of the structure will also be performed.

North Gettysburg Avenue will remain open during construction. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, utilizing one bridge while the other is under construction. A contractor will be selected in early-2023. Construction is anticipated to last approximately 6 months. Completion of the project is anticipated in November 2023.
