Project Summary
The Montgomery County Engineer is proposing to construct a project called the Peters Pike and Lower Miamisburg Road Culvert Replacement Project, located in Butler Township and Miami Township, Job #2019-11. On Peters Pike, the structurally deficient culvert will be replaced and given a new alignment. The inlet of the proposed Peters Pike culvert will be moved away from the edge of pavement and safety grading will be installed, thus removing the existing roadside hazard. In addition, a manhole will be installed along its length to assist with future maintenance and inspection. The second culvert, located on Lower Miamisburg Road, is severely corroded and will be replaced in-kind. To assist with future maintenance, manholes will also be installed along its length for easier access. The project will begin in September 2021 and be completed in November 2021. Both roadways will be closed to all but local traffic during construction.
