Project Summary

The Montgomery County Engineer’s Office proposes to reconstruction Shoup Mill Road, starting 500 feet west of North Main Street (SR 48), east to the Stillwater River.  This project will provide pedestrian and bicycle facilities that will greatly enhance the safety of the public and serve the varied educational, residential, recreational, and commercial uses within this corridor.  Structurally deficient County structures, namely two bridges and one culvert, will be addressed either through replacement or rehabilitation.  The deteriorated medians within the project limits will be reconstructed and the roadway’s deteriorated asphalt replaced.  Finally, the existing traffic signal at Shoup Mill Road and Riverside Drive will be replaced with a mast-arm style signal.
